Poor Mesut Ozil doesn’t seem to enjoy lining up against members of the younger generation. Having been kept out of the game by West Ham’s Reece Oxford in the opening day of the season, he was outplayed by another teenager in the shape of Liverpool’s Joe Gomez on Monday night.
The 18-year-old full-back has excelled himself since linking up with Brendan Rodgers’ men, and put in a star turn to keep the Germany international quite as the two sides met on Monday night.
A nationwide search for Ozil ensued after the game, with many fans claiming that Ozil was eventually emptied out of Gomez’s pocket. More relentless trolling followed, with some of the best displayed below…

Apparently they won´t let Gomez out of the Emirates unless he lets go of Ozil and Sanchez who both are in his pockets at the moment

18 year old Joe Gomez gets home tonight, empties his pockets to find a pack of chewing gum, his A-level results, and Mesut Ozil.
